Sorry to pick up after so long but this is exactly what I would like to do as well. Basically I want to hide attachments to guests. That is, I am fine with guest users viewing attached/embedded images, however I wish to secure a specific file attachment (zip) from being downloaded by guest users.
I am currently at a loss of how to do this. Basically I don't want guests using my bandwidth/leeching for large attachments unless they are a member.
I am expecting to do similar to OP:
[disallowguests][attachment]..[/attachment][/disallowguests]
I hope someone can point me in the right direction!
