Just so it is clear if you are going to do this on live server you need to copy the entire database. Edit config.php in test install and change the DB name to new one. Optionally you may have to change username and password depending on how the DB was created.
You may also want to consider putting password on it even if it's some lame username and password, that will prevent bots from finding it. You can usually do that through hosting panel.
